Canza Commodity Settlement maintains controls to prevent the platform being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or sanctions evasion. This policy summarises those controls for users and counterparties.
Every buying entity completes KYB before its first purchase can be funded. KYB collects the entity's legal name, registration details, country of operation, intended commodity and volume, and identity verification of a representative through our verification provider. Documents may be requested and are reviewed by trained operations staff.
A purchase cannot advance past the KYB stage until verification is approved. Corridor partners and brokers undergo a separate admission and periodic re-verification process. Ghana gold sellers complete an eight-step review covering registration, tax and social-security clearance, GoldBod licensing, licensed sources and traceability, premises and environmental approvals, assay and logistics capability, beneficial ownership, and financial capacity.
We screen entities and representatives against applicable sanctions lists, including [PLACEHOLDER: lists, e.g. OFAC, UN, EU, UK HMT]. We do not onboard entities organised in, or settle transactions involving, restricted jurisdictions listed in our Regulatory Disclosures. Declared country of operation is checked at onboarding.
Funding is accepted by stablecoin transfer or fiat escrow through approved channels. We may request evidence of source of funds and may pause or reject funding that cannot be verified. Stablecoin flows are screened through [PLACEHOLDER: blockchain analytics provider].
Transactions are monitored for unusual patterns. Suspicious activity is escalated internally and, where required, reported to the relevant authorities in [PLACEHOLDER: reporting jurisdiction(s)]. Records of checks, approvals, and stage events are retained per our data-retention schedule.
Compliance questions and document requests: [PLACEHOLDER: compliance contact email]. Nothing in this policy limits our right to decline, freeze, or unwind a transaction where required by law or risk policy.
